Mark your calendars for Central INdiana Linux User Group’s (CINLUG’s) Wednesday, August 3rd meeting! Matthew Allman will speak on FreePBX.
FreePBX is an Asterisk based Linux distribution that comes packaged with all the tools required to setup a business class web managed VoIP phone system. The “Free” in FreePBX stands for “Freedom”. That’s because FreePBX — the world’s most popular open source IP PBX — gives users the tools to build a phone system tailored to their needs.
Matthew is a network engineer and Linux enthusiast from rural, southern Indiana. Nearing the end of high school, he began working as an intern at local diesel engine giant Cummins Inc. This turned into his full time role, today, of network engineer.
Outside of work, Matthew provides local businesses with IT consulting services. FreePBX is one tool that he uses to migrate local, small and medium-sized businesses away from older PSTN / POTS telephony services.
Come join us at Moser Consulting’s facility (6220 Castleway West Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46250). The meeting starts at 19:00 (7:00 PM) EDT. (Many thanks to Moser Consulting for allowing us to use their facilities!)
The meeting will be simultaneously broadcast over Jitsi Meet for those who cannot attend in person.
