Join Central INdiana Linux User Group (CINLUG) on Wednesday, September 6th for a demonstration on security compliance with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Image Builder & Insights.
Terry Bowling, a CINLUG board member and a senior technical product manager at Red Hat, will demonstrate building gold images that have the OpenSCAP security policies — such as Center for Internet Security (CIS) level 2 and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) — already applied. He will then demonstrate using Insights Compliance as a method to audit, report, and enforce your fleet of RHEL systems visible in the Insights Inventory, regardless of what public cloud or data center in which they reside.
RHEL Image Builder is based on the upstream osbuild.org project and is a featured application in RHEL. It is also available as part of RHEL’s management capabilities at Red Hat Insights.
CINLUG thanks Moser Consulting for hosting our meetings at their facility (6220 Castleway West Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46250 — there will be a phone number at the entrance to call to be let into the building.) The meeting will be simultaneously broadcast over Google Meet for those who cannot attend in person. (Though in-person attendance is encouraged.)
