March 6th, 2024 — LVM Advanced Features

Join Central INdiana Linux User Group (CINLUG) next week for a talk on Logical Volume Manager (LVM), with a focus on some of its advanced features.

While many of us are familiar with the basics of LVM — and probably use it everyday in our GNU/Linux systems — there are advanced aspects that some may not have used:  thinly-provisioned logical volumes, snapshotting and cache volumes.  Bernie Hoefer1 will present on and demonstrate these abilities so you can see if they’d be of use to you in your setups.

The meeting will begin at 18:30 (6:30 PM) EST on Wednesday, March 6th.

CINLUG thanks Moser Consulting for hosting our meetings at their facility2.  (There will be a phone number at the entrance to call to be let into the building.)  The meeting will be simultaneously broadcast over this Jitsi Meet URL for those who cannot attend in person.  (Though in-person attendance is encouraged.)

CINLUG meetings are the 1st Wednesday of every month.  Please be sure to block that night off in your calendar to keep it available!  Be sure to subscribe to our announce mailing list to be kept informed.
