Deploying and maintaining Linux systems that are secure can feel like an overwhelming task. This becomes more urgent for companies who must adhere to a variety of different security compliance policies. How does one know how to even begin? Do systems drift out of compliance over time?
Terry Bowling1 will share with the Central INdiana Linux User Group how Red Hat’s Insights Compliance and Image Builder makes it very easy to apply, audit, and maintain security compliance for CIS, DISA STIG, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and many more.
The meeting will begin at 18:30 (6:30 PM) EDT on Wednesday, September 3rd.
CINLUG thanks Moser Consulting for hosting our meetings at their facility2. (There will be a phone number at the entrance to call to be let into the building.) The meeting will be simultaneously broadcast over this Jitsi Meet URL for those who cannot attend in person. (Though in-person attendance is encouraged.)
CINLUG meetings are the 1st Wednesday of every month, so please block that night off in your calendar to keep it available. (We have upcoming presentations on EndOf10.org, 3D printing, Btrfs and Home Assistant.) You are also encouraged to sign up for our mailing lists3 and follow us on various social media sites to receive announcements and participate in discussions.
After the meeting, we plan to go to the nearby Red Robin restaurant for food/drinks and camaraderie! Plan to make it a night
