December 2005+ Topics

I'm interested in a session that covers setting up a radio station (webcast) with Linux. This was mentioned some time ago, but dropped out of sight. How 'bout it?

Re:December 2005+ Topics

I've used CVS, but I'm no expert. I know squat about subversion.
How about Subversion Demo vs. CVS?
That might be interesting. I've used both - anyone want to help with a presentation?

I haven't had a chance to spin it up yet but I have heard it's very slow also. That blows it for me. I'm too use to running nvidia acceleration toram. :D

Re:December 2005+ Topics

It wouldn't boot on my laptop with a Radeon ATI mobile card. Hmmm, and it runs dog slow even on a Pentium 2.8 MHz with a Radeon 9600. I'm very unimpressed, so forget I said anything.

I'm downloading the livecd with looking glass to have a look. I have an nvidia card. It looks interesting.

At Ohio Linux Fest 2005, I met someone from the International Sybase User Group (I think that was the name - some Sybase organization) and someone who works for MySQL. Both groups/companies are interested in presenting at a future CINLUG meeting.

Once we get a handle on it (maybe actually getting the campus radio station to utilize it), we should be able to give a presentation on it.
