Old Laptop Wanted.

If you've got an old laptop hanging around, or know someone who does, I'd like it. I don't care if the batteries are so old that it doesn't keep a charge. So long as it has some sort of power adapter, and it works, I'll take it. I can pick it up whenever, wherever it's convenient for you (though it would be a bonus if you were within an hour of center township in Indy).

Ideally, it would be nice to have something:

[a] more portable,

[b] that wouldn't lead to numbness in my legs, and,

[c] might run software written within the last 10 years.

I just powered on one of my 486 laptops and it works. It's a WinBook XP (486-DX4 100 - I think that's the correct 486 phrasing :)) - 100MHz 486, dunno how much ram (I'll check when I get home). It's got a 10 Base-T PCMCIA card with a dongle. I don't know how many of the 4 work (two of them don't have hard drives, at least one has a ruined LCD) but you're welcome to any or all of them. I certainly haven't used them recently (when I turned one on a few days ago, it thought it was 2002, which was probably the last time I messed around with it :)

I'm a bastard -- I own it. :) It's just that I've been pretty housebound with the approaching bambino.

I must also admit that Uncyclopedia made me an Admin and the volume of submissions there has swallowed me whole with work.

I've even written a couple articles that people thought were funny. Go figure. :)
