Help with linux web server
Hi, I am on my way to building a linux web server. But still not sure what would be the best (free) type of linux for a web server. And not sure that
Apacha would be the best to run on linux either. Hope to build a hosting company one day. But for now a lot of test runs!! Would appreciate any input thanks.

Apache is the most popular web server in the world - approximately 60% of all webservers run Apache. There are specialized servers you might want to use if you have a specialized application, but for general web serving, I'd definitely recommend apache.
As for which Linux distribution to use, I personally prefer Debian but you're welcome to use whatever you're comfortable with. If you're going to run a business on Linux, you might want to consider a commercial distribution so you can get support with it (although the free distributions have support via mailing lists and groups such as CINLUG).
