Re: [wanted]free linix software

*I signed up but tha=en found out that I'm busy this weekend. Is there anyway I can show up next saterday though? If not just e-mail me please and we can figure something out.

Re: [wanted]free linix software

Sure. I can do it tonight. You're not signed up for our Linux Boot Camp this Saturday are you? If you have $50 and are free the next 2 Saturdays, you'd learn a lot (we're covering Ubuntu). http://www.cinlug.org/bootcamp If not, just let me know how you want to get this disc from me. - T.

Like I said I don't know what's good and what's not. If you wouldn't mind could you burn me Ubuntu. My friend said he runs that version.

Re: [wanted]free linix software

If you have a specific Linux distribution in mind (like Ubuntu, Suse, or Mandriva), I would be happy to burn you a disk and bring it to a meeting, or have it on hand for you to pick up. [url=http://www.cinlug.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=Web_Links&file=index&req=visit&lid=10]Linux.org[/url] also has a large list of Distributions you can read or learn about. thank you very much! :D

Re: [wanted]free linix software

Go to www.distrowatch.com and pick out a distribution flavor to try, download it, burn it to CD and try it out. Or come to a meeting and ask...I'm sure we'll be able to get you a distro to try.
