samba3 PDC and SuSE

I'm installing SuSE 9.2 (brand new to SuSE, but not a complete n00b to Linux) and attempting to set it up as a Samba PDC, using OpenLDAP as the backend storage. Not having much success. The windows box can't connect to the domain, complaining about missing DNS entries. I've tried Googling on this, but nothing obvious is turning up. I don't want to spend huge amounts of time on this right now, but would still like to get it up and running. If anyone knows/can guess what my specific problem is, or if anyone else is familiar with this sort of set up and wouldn't mind donating some time for a beer/soda or reasonable compensation, I'd be greatful.
If your SuSE box is on a private IP, you may have to add a line in the C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/DRIVERS/HOSTS file? Guess.
What line? The server is reachable via host name. Alias added for domain name doesn't appear to help.
