I need some help configuring my system...

I built a new system and loaded Mandrake 8.2 on it but I can't get the sound or modem drivers to work. I'm to the point that I need some one to come over and look at it and get it working. I've got an ECS K7AMA motherboard with the ALI sound ship on the motherboard. The modem is a Moterolla SM56 win modem. I've loaded the drivers but can't get them to work because I'm so new to Linux I don't know what I'm doing. I need this to work before next weekend so someone please come over and help me. I'll trade computer parts for your help...

im sory but im not shure this will help but the 10.2 is a lot easer to install and it reconizes evrything much better so if posiable download 10.2 or get a copy of it some how i used to use mandrake but swithched to suse 9.3
