Linux Security with ACL's

Novell and NT both have Access controll list. I have heard that Linux has the ability to offer this. I was wondering if anyone had any info on it.
Ok a better explanation. In Linux/Unix you have three options for setting file permissions. Owner/Group/Other. I think that this blows chow. What if I have 10 different groups with 10 different access levels. What I want to be able to do is have fine grained security, without having to do weird stuff like a bunch of soft links. Also I would love to see if there is a way around just RWX.
