linux for windows

anybody know where i can get linux for windows??
i am mentoring a linux newbie and i was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a "linux for windows". i found one, but it costs money (grrr). does anyone know where i can get a "free" copy of a type of "linux for windows"?? thanks.

Sounds like you might want to check out:

Looks to be a pretty fully loaded distro, but installable on a windows box.
