remote access ?
Are you trying to dial into a Windows machine or are you just looking for something that works like RAS? I know there are VPN alternatives, but that doesn't help much if you have to run Windows programs on the machine when you get in. Currently, we have a Citrix Metaframe server at work so I can get to my work servers through that. The Citrix clients are cross-platform so I can do it from Linux. However, if your company doesn't want to spend that kind of money just so you can access an NT/2000 box from Linux, you may have a problem. It all depends on what you're trying to do. Bob

VNC stands for Virtual Network Computing. It is, in essence, a remote display system which allows you to view a computing 'desktop' environment not only on the machine where it is running, but from anywhere on the Internet and from a wide variety of machine architectures.
The above text is from the above URL. I haven't used VNC myself, but know at least one professional/professor who swears by it. Works with Windows and Unix. Is not, I don't think, bundled with RedHat. Free software, I believe.
