How does Intel, AMD Processor Virtualization impact Xen?

• Both Intel and AMD have announced virtualization enhancements to their processors

• These enhancements will allow unmodified OSes to run under the Xen VMM

  • Using Xen paravirtualization in the guest OS will still improve performance
  • Unmodified windows will run under Xen!
