Protecting an Account

• The Search Path

  • Only placed the current directory (".") at the end of your search path (still vulnerable to commands not in the system directories (mb ~ mv)).

• Startup Files

  • Writable only by you.

• Permissions

  • Only an account owner should have permissions to write his/her files and directories (chmod -R go-w).
